ORIGIN: Oolong tea is a traditional tea that falls between green and black tea in terms of oxidation levels. Our Oolong tea comes from the Fujian province of China a mountainous region famous for good tea.
ABOUT: The leaves are withered under strong sun and then oxidized before they are rolled and twisted. To create this unique creamy flavour, a natural flavouring is added to the leaves.
BENEFITS: Oolong tea is slightly caffeinated, similarly to green tea. It contains a range of antioxidants, including many found in both green and black teas. It also contains L-Theanine (amino acid) and minerals.
USES: Best to be enjoyed on its own or with sugar or honey. As this tea already has a milky, creamy flavour, adding milk is not necessary – but it wouldnt be a bad idea either.
BREWING: Allow 1- 1½ teaspoon per cup. Boil the water and wait for 1 to 2 minutes before pouring it onto the leaves. Steeping time: 3 – 5 minutes. The leaves can be steeped multiple times, revealing different layers of flavour with each brewing time and water temperature can be adjusted based on personal preferences.
